INSTRUCTIONS
You play against the computer. The object is to capture the computer's pieces while not
letting the computer take yours. The first player to reduce their opponent to two pieces
left is the winner. The game has four phases of play:
Phase 1 - Placement: You alternate turns with the computer, placing fifteen pieces each on
the game board. You may only place pieces on open spaces (the white circles). When one player
manages to place three of his pieces in a straight line, this player is allowed to remove one
of his opponents pieces.
Phase 2 - Slide: Players take turns sliding one of their pieces along a straight line to
an open adjacent play space. An open adjacent play space is a play space that is not covered by a piece of either color, and that is separated from the space on which the piece to be moved is located by a line only. Players may not jump over pieces at this stage. If either player is unable to slide a piece because he is trapped, then this player loses at this point. Again, sliding a
piece to make three in a row lets the player remove an opponents piece.
Phase 3 - Leap: When either player is reduced to five (5) pieces, then that player acquires the right to
"leap" - moving pieces is not restricted along the white lines any longer for that player.
When leaping, a player may move any of their pieces to any other open space on the board, again
with the goal of getting three in a row and removing an opponents piece.
Phase 4 - Double Leap: Similar to leap, but now both players have five (5) pieces or less, and they both have the right to leap.
